Town of Bermuda Run, North Carolina, May 16, 2022 – Mayor Rick Cross announced today that Lee Rollins has announced his resignation and will be transitioning from his role as TownManager effective June 30, 2022. Free Pesticide Collection Day Tuesday, May 17th

Do you have old pesticides taking up space in your barn, garage, or storage shed?  Dispose of them for free on Tuesday, May 17th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Clement Grove Masonic Picnic Grounds on Poplar Street behind the Brock Performing Arts Center, 622 N. Free Community Event This Saturday ~ KidsFest: Fun for the Whole Family

KidsFest is back! Family Promise Day of Giving to Raise Funds and Awareness to Support Local Families

On the day that her third child was born with severe health issues, Julie* began a chapter of her life that she never imagined having to write. The single mom had a good job, but medical expenses and time away from work caring for a sick child caused her to get behind on rent. Economic Development Continues: Davie County to Get Four New Spec Buildings

After gaining an impressive six new industrial partners last year, Davie County is focusing on the next wave of development by replenishing its inventory of buildings.    Four additional industrial spec facilities, ranging from 130,000 to 500,000 SF, are in the planning stages or under construction to replace those filled by Hayward Holdings, Sportsfield Specialties, DFA, Scott Bader, and Palltronics. Annual Chamber Meeting Honors Local Leaders

The Davie County Chamber of Commerce presented its 52nd Annual Chamber Meeting on Thursday, March 24th at WinMock in Bermuda Run.  The meeting was a sold-out event with 178 community and business leaders in attendance to hear about the “state of the region” and to honor the recipients of the Chamber’s signature awards:  E.C. Internship Program Provides Real-World Opportunities for Davie High Students

Four afternoons a week, Davie High senior Angel Fearrington heads to her internship at Hillsdale Real Estate Group, where she’s putting her interests in video editing, graphic design, and photography to work creating marketing videos and graphics for the company’s social media.  As a high school student with no work experience, she thought it was important to gain some before graduating. Ruffin Named Interim County Manager for Davie County

The Davie County Board of Commissioners has appointed former Davie County Manager Mike Ruffin to serve as interim county manager following County Manager David Bone’s resignation last week. He will serve the county for approximately six months while the county seeks a permanent manager. “We are fortunate to have Mike.
