Global manufacturer Avgol broke ground this week on 63,000 SF of additional manufacturing and ancillary space as part of a $100 million investment to expand its Davie County facility to include both a sixth multibeam spunlaid production line and a laminate finishing line to meet the growing domestic demand for its ultra-lightweight nonwoven fabrics. Avgol, which has majority ownership held by Thailand’s Indorama Ventures Limited Company, leads the global hygiene market with the most comprehensive range of ultra-lightweight spun-melt nonwoven fabrics. Global manufacturer Avgol is investing approximately $100 million to expand its Mocksville facility to include both a sixth multibeam spunlaid production line and a laminate finishing line to meet the growing domestic demand for its ultra-lightweight nonwoven fabrics. The investment will create 52 new jobs by Dec. 31, 2024, at an average annual wage of $55,647. The company currently has 260 employees at its facility at 178 Avgol Drive.
