North Carolina Tightens Mask Requirements

On Monday Governor Roy Cooper issued additional COVID-19 safety measures to tighten face-covering requirements and enforcement as cases continue to rise rapidly in North Carolina and across the country. Executive Order No. 180 goes into effect at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and runs through  5 p.m. on Friday, December 11. Davie County in the Red Zone for Community Spread

North Carolina Introduces COVID-19 County Alert System:  Governor Cooper and Dr. Mandy Cohen, secretary of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) have announced a new COVID-19 County Alert System to pinpoint counties with the highest levels of viral spread and to offer specific recommendations to bring numbers down. This system will provide information about how each county is faring and will help local leaders make decisions about actions to slow the virus’s spread.
