Cognition Davie Children’s Museum is dedicated to promoting educational outcomes and exploration. While the nonprofit provides opportunities for people of all ages to play, learn, and grow, one program in particular consistently shines bright. In partnership with the Mebane Foundation, an innovative program called STEAM Storytime is making significant strides in early childhood literacy. Looking for some family-friendly fun? Look no further than COGNITION’s Carnival and Touch-A-Truck this Saturday, September 24th, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Downtown Mocksville. This event will provide the opportunity for families to experience some of the fun and engaging activities COGNITION offers all year long. The grassy lawn will become the “Midway” with fair-themed games and contests. Cognition Davie and Davidson-Davie Community College are partnering together during the month of February to present the science of healthcare. Students in 5th-8th grades can register now to learn the basics of medical assisting and patient assessments, blood typing and bench science, as well as CPR training and EMS professions.
