Calling all Photographers ~ Davie County Arts Council Photography Contest and Exhibit!

Whether photography is your passion, your hobby, or just an occasional pastime, you are invited to participate in the Davie County Arts Council photo contest, celebrating the beauty and unique character of Davie County. Both amateur and professional photographers are welcome to participate. Photos may be submitted as prints, see contest rules for details. Entry Deadline! Help us “Flag” the Tree of Honor

A “Tribute Tree” to honor and/or remember those who serve or have served to protect our freedom is located beside the Mocksville Police Department and will be on display throughout the 2012  holiday season. The Goal is to fill the Entire Tree with Flags! For each $1 contribution, a United States flag will be placed on the tree to represent a designated service person.  The contributions will be presented to the Davie County Veteran’s Administration for local veteran services. Santa, the Grinch, Christmas stories, book signing, Christmas parade, hay rides, pedi-cab rides and more.

“Hometown Christmas” celebrations continue throughout the holiday season. Free Event ~ Hay rides from 6:30 to 8 PM on Friday, December 7.  Historic downtown Mocksville will host hay rides from Station on Main Street located at 185 North Main Street in Mocksville. Davie County company with corporate offices in NJ organize relief effort for storm-ravaged town

Donations to help families ravaged by Hurricane Sandy will be accepted from companies and individuals across Davie County next week. A 53 foot tractor trailer will be placed in the Gesipa parking lot early next week to collect donations of items listed below from companies and individuals across Davie County. Relief collection begins Tuesday, November 6th through Friday, November 16th.   We have been assured that this timing is sufficient to do a lot of good for folks that will need help for some time to come.
