Free Community Event This Saturday ~ Progressive Storybook, Petting Zoo and Face Painting!

Please join us in downtown Mocksville this Saturday from 1 -4 p.m. as we celebrate spring with a fun progressive storybook featuring the Napping House by Audrey Wood. We’ll begin at The Factory Coffee House at 128 North Main Street and the Easter Bunny,  with the help of a group of volunteers, will guide us through the downtown area to read about the whimsical adventures of a grandmother’s nap on a rainy afternoon. Davie Hosts State Economic Development Team for day of “Speed Dating” Sessions with Economic Developers from 10 Counties

The Davie County Economic Development Commission (DCEC) hosted the state’s economic development team, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), on April 4th at the Davidson County Community College – Davie Campus in Mocksville. In addition to the state’s team, economic developers from 10 area counties attended for a day-long discussion on the economy and what it takes to win deals in today’s economy. Harmony Romances – Side-Splitting Comedy coming to the Brock in Mocksville, This Week and Next!

The church ladies are at again! Harmony Romances is a hilarious comedy with the ladies of Harmony Church planning a wedding, but they share more than table decorations. Davie Community Foundation Breaks Ground on Cognition Interactive Learning Center and Makerspace in Mocksville!

It all starts with a scoop of dirt! The Davie Community Foundation (DCF) broke ground last week on COGNITION, an interactive learning center and makerspace coming to downtown Mocksville in January 2020. The mission of COGNITION is to create an interactive space for children, families, and the community to acquire knowledge through adventurous play, investigative learning, and creative growth. Davie Health and Rehabilitation Center ~ New, State-of-the-Art Skilled Nursing Facility Open in Mocksville

Davie Health & Rehabilitation Center celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the opportunity for area residents to explore the new 59,000 square foot, 108-bed state-of-the-art skilled-nursing facility on Madison Road in Mocksville. Owned and operated by Saber Healthcare, the facility replaces Autumn Care of Mocksville which the company purchased in March 2016. The old 33,000 square foot facility on Howard Street was built in several phases beginning in the 1950s and continuing through the early 1990s. Hundreds of Davie County citizens took the first step toward improving their health by attending the 2019 For Your Health Expo presented by the Davie County Chamber of Commerce and the Davie Family YMCA. The evolution of Davie County’s elementary schools
