Hurricane Florence Update

“The Town of Mocksville and Davie County Emergency Management continues to monitor the path of Hurricane Florence. Based on information received from the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center, Davie County should anticipate: Early Thursday morning: rain and the potential arrival of high winds. Friday through Sunday: sustained periods of heavy rain with the potential of 7-10 inches total accumulation with tropical storm force winds. New, State-of-the-Art Skilled Nursing Facility Coming to Mocksville

Saber Health is investing in a new 59,000 square foot, 108-bed state-of-the-art skilled-nursing facility on Madison Road in Mocksville. Slated to open in early 2019, the new Davie Health & Rehabilitation Center will replace Autumn Care of Mocksville, which the company purchased in March of 2016. The old 33,000 square foot facility on Howard Street was built in several phases beginning in the 1950’s and continuing through the early 1990’s. It currently staffs 79 beds and offers skilled nursing care, rehabilitation services, and respite care. 2018 Christmas Parade Saturday, December 1st – Registration Now Open!

There are only 90 days left before the Hometown Christmas Parade, and it’s never too early to begin planning your float! This year’s parade through historic downtown Mocksville will be held on Saturday, December 1st, beginning at 2 p.m.  The theme this year is The Gifts of Christmas and the deadline to register is November 9th. Davie County has two free concerts Saturday night that are sure to thrill music lovers of all ages. Free Mobile Pharmacy Event this Friday in Mocksville

NC MedAssist will hold a Mobile Free Pharmacy Event in Mocksville on Friday, July 27.  The event, which is in collaboration with Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, is open to any low-income individual or family needing free health screenings, education and/or over-the-counter medications.  The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brock Recreation Center (644 N. Main Street, Mocksville, NC 27028).  Must be 18 or older. No identification is required.
