The State of Davie and Annual Chamber Meeting Combine to Recognize Leadership

The Davie County Chamber of Commerce and Davie County Economic Development Commission presented the State of Davie & 51st Annual Chamber Meeting on Thursday, April 15th at WinMock in Bermuda Run.  The meeting was a sold-out event based on COVID-related limits, with 150 community and business leaders in attendance to hear an overview of Davie County’s economy and to honor the recipients of the Chamber’s signature awards:  E.C. Yadtel Receives $1.9 Grant to Expand Broadband In Davie County

Yadkin Valley Telephone Membership Corp. has received a $1.9 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance Grant from the U.S Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration to expand broadband access in Davie County.  Matched with $485,729 in local investment, Yadtel will use the funds to construct 111.5 miles of fiber optic cable in six areas of Davie County that lack access to high-speed internet. Greetings from Mocksville, NC

Visitors heading into Historic Downtown Mocksville on Gaither Street are receiving a brightly-colored welcome. A new mural reminiscent of the postcards of the 1960s -70s offering “Greetings from Mocksville, NC” gleams from the back of The Station General Store & Taproom at 185 North Main. Smart Start Thanks Community for Help Meeting Mebane Foundation Challenge Grant

Grand Opening of a New Home Store

FEMA Begins Financial Assistance Program for COVID-19-Related Funeral Expenses

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought overwhelming grief to many families. FEMA hopes to help ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by the virus by providing financial assistance for COVID-19-related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020.  This program is funded through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
