“Art Hop” in Historic Downtown Mocksville This Week Showcases Student Artists

From Monday through Wednesday, May 16th to 18th, local businesses in historic downtown Mocksville are showcasing the talented artists of the award winning Art Department of Davie High School. On Wednesday evening, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, stores will hold extended hours for an “Art-Hop” reception.  Students and businesses downtown are selling tickets for this reception for $2 in advance and $3 on the night of the “Art Hop.”  The Davie County High School Visual Arts students will be located at the various businesses downtown throughout the evening.  Ticket holders who get their tickets stamped at local businesses Wednesday […]

Dr. Hartness Appointed by Unanimous Vote The Davie County Board of Education has selected Dr. Darrin Hartness as its new superintendent of schools by a unanimous vote! Dr. Hartness is currently the superintendent of the Mount Airy City Schools, a position he has held since January, 2008.
