Dozens of Davie County’s best got a chance to shine during the Best of Davie Awards!  The awards were presented during the 46th Annual Davie County Chamber Awards Gala and Annual Meeting held at WinMock at Kinderton on Thursday, January 14th. Thank You – Almost 5,000 Votes Cast! Voting for the 2015 Best of Davie was open to all members of the community. State of Emergency Declared: 8-12 inches of snow expected Friday

As of 1 p.m., on January 21, 2016 Davie County has declared a State of Emergency.  Please be advised of the following: Per the National Weather Service, northeast areas of Davie County are anticipated to receive 8-12 inches of snow on Friday.  In the southern parts of the county, we are anticipated to receive 4-6 inches of snow, followed by sleet and freezing rain—this is expected to begin overnight (early Friday morning).  Sustained winds are expected to be 10-12 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph.
