Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival: Bringing Bluegrass to Davie County Schools

Once again, Davie County High School seniors will enjoy a special in-school musical performance, courtesy of their neighbors at Carolina Bible Camp & Retreat Center. All Davie County High School students, faculty and staff, and South Davie Middle School students will receive complimentary wristband bands to attend the 8th annual Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, September 14, 2019. FREE Concert on the Square in Mocksville this Saturday – Exit 180 Band!

You’ll get a little bit of Country and a little bit of Rock and Roll as the Exit 180 Band takes the stage this Saturday night, September 14th from 7-10 p.m. on the Square in Downtown Mocksville. A hometown favorite, Exit 180 Band was formed by a group of guys that had the same vision and purpose: play authentic Rock, Classic and Southern Rock as well as familiar Country songs that people can sing and dance along to. “Congratulations” to the First Class of Davie Students to Complete Training and Join the DDAC Apprenticeship Program

More than a dozen electrical and mechanical trade students committed to four-year manufacturing apprenticeships last week during a signing ceremony at Sapona Ridge Country Club in Lexington, N.C. The event marked the completion of 500 hours of classroom and hands-on training in a pre-apprenticeship program and the beginning of full apprenticeship with one of six local manufacturers. Apprenticeships are coordinated through the Davidson and Davie County Apprenticeship Consortium (DDAC), an alliance of manufacturing companies in Davidson and Davie counties providing classroom education as well as on-the-job training for students.
