Weekend Activities Rained Out

Two events have been cancelled due to rain in the forecast for this weekend. The Riverwalk Art and Antique Festival in the Town of Bermuda Run and the free Carolina Soul Concert in Historic Downtown Mocksville have both been rained out.  The Mocksville concert has already been rescheduled for June 25, 2016.

Free Concert! Two Great Bands – Rescheduled for June 2016 due to weather!

Not one, but two exciting bands will perform on Saturday, September 26th from 4-9 pm  Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Junker’s Mill Outdoor Theater in Downtown Mocksville. Elvis Tribute Band- Taylor Vaden and the Memphis Thunder at 4 pm Don’t be a hound dog, put on your blue suede shoes and come reminisce to the sounds of Taylor Vaden and the Memphis Thunder, an incredible Elvis tribute band, from 4-5:30 pm.  Taylor’s performance highlights the persona of Elvis as well as his musical career. Free Community Event! Town of Bermuda Run Hosting River Walk Art & Antique Festival This Saturday!

With amazing art, antiques, live music and crafts for the kids, you do not want to miss the River Walk Art & Antique Festival this Saturday, September 26, from 11 am- 9 pm at the Kinderton Commercial Center, 120 Kinderton Boulevard in the Town of Bermuda Run. This free family-friendly event will feature free activities for the kids, live music throughout the day, and 36 artists from across North Carolina, as well as a collectibles vendor. Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival This Saturday!

Don’t miss The Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival this Saturday, September 12 at the Carolina Bible Camp at 1988 Jericho Church Road in Mocksville. Mandolin prodigy, composer and vocalist Sierra Hull is headlining America’s only bluegrass festival that promotes Bible study, camping and wholesome recreation. Davie County Hospital Foundation Gift Breathes New Life into Mocksville Hospital as Medical Training Center

On Wednesday, August 26, 2015 members of the Davie Hospital Foundation presented a check for over $146,000 to Dr. Mary Rittling and DCCC, the Community College of Davidson and Davie Counties.  The Davie County Hospital Foundation gift will support the DCCC Surgical Technology and Central Sterile Processing training programs being conducted at the former hospital in Mocksville. Ground Breaking – $40 Million Investment and 50 New Jobs in Mocksville!

Avgol America today broke ground in Mocksville on a $40 million expansion that will make the Mocksville, NC Avgol America plant the single largest producer of non-woven fabrics in North America.  This $40 million investment by Avgol will create 50 new jobs here and add $36 million to the County’s tax base. The Rich Park Greenway Phase One Now Open – Come on out and Take a Stroll!

Town of Mocksville leaders and the Town of Mocksville Public Works Department joined the Davie County Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, August 13 to celebrate the opening of the Rich Park Greenway!  Construction of phase one of the Rich Park Greenway is complete and construction of stage 2 is underway.  The Rich Park Greenway currently connects Rich Park to Halander Drive, winds down to Rich Park Shelter 1 in one direction, to Rose Cemetery in another direction and down to the third entrance across from the baseball field parking lot.
