Meals Available to Any Davie County Resident Aged 60 or Older

Even though Davie County Senior Services’ doors are closed to the public, the service to the seniors of Davie County has not stopped. Since closing the doors on March 14, Senior Services has served approximately 17,000 meals to older adults in our county. Thanks to the receipt of new funding from the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, Senior Services is excited to be able to expand this program even more. Davie County High School Announces Plans for a Drive-In Graduation

Creative Graduation Plans Chosen By the Class of 2020 Davie County High School principal, Doyle Nicholson, announced yesterday that Davie County High School will hold a drive-in graduation ceremony with a drive-thru diploma pick up. Family Promise Finds a Partner in the Fight Against Homelessness

Family Promise of Davie County Receives $50,000 Grant as Part of a Pilot Program to Combat Homelessness  Kenyal Braswell was scared. She and her three young sons under the age of three were homeless, with nowhere to go, following a divorce. Then a local assistance agency referred her to a brand new program, Family Promise of Davie County, and suddenly there was hope.  Established in September 2017, Family Promise of Davie County (FPDC) serves families with children who are experiencing homelessness.
