Enjoy garden fresh produce all season long!  Davie County is home to two Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms.  These CSA farms directly link local residents and nearby farmers, eliminating “the middleman” and increasing the benefits to both the farmer and the consumer. In a CSA program, a farmer grows food for a group of local residents (called “shareholders” or “subscribers”) who commit at the beginning of each year to purchase part of that farm’s crop. Peachtree Farmer’s Market Opening in Bermuda Run This Friday

The Peachtree Farmers Market will open on Friday, May 4, 4-8pm and continue weekly on Friday evenings through November.  An official grand opening is planned for Friday, June 1. Ashley Furniture to Create 550 Jobs in Davie County, North Carolina

Governor Bev Perdue announced today that Ashley Furniture, a manufacturer and distributor of home furnishings, will locate a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Davie County.  Ashley Furniture expects to create 550 new jobs over the next five years and invest $80 million in land, buildings, machinery and equipment.
