Bed Races and Hometown Christmas Parade Will Kick-off 2014 Hometown Holiday Celebration

The word “bedroll” will take on a whole new meaning on Friday, November 21 in Historic Downtown Mocksville as intrepid teams from across Davie County and beyond take part in the 3rd annual “Twas the Night Before” Bed Race. Dunlop Bringing New Aviation Manufacturing Jobs to Mocksville

British manufacturer Dunlop Aircraft Tyres has selected Mocksville, North Carolina as the site for its first retreading facility in the United States. Don’t Miss the Annual Bullhole Catfish Fry – Saturday, October 18th

On Saturday, October 18th, Ron Shoaf will be frying catfish fillets, hush puppies and fries along with Ron Webb, Ron Bivins and nearly a dozen other childhood buddies at RiverPark’s 12th Annual Fall Catfish Fry.  The annual catfish fry was started to raise funds to purchase land for the park.  Today, the annual event is held to raise funds to keep the 80-acre nature park open and clean. Thursday, September 25, 2014 was a day of celebration for Davie County as the community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Davie County High School.  Hundreds of folks were on hand to help celebrate the opening of a new chapter in the history of Davie County.
